2020 RFP Guidelines
Grant monies may be awarded in three categories: Research, Education or Patient Services. Please see below for specific instructions.
All applications should be in the form of a 3-page preliminary proposal, using at least 11-point font size and
.5 inch margins in all directions with numbered pages. The last name of the principal should be listed in the upper right hand corner of every page.
This should include:
Research Proposal:
Cover Page: On institutional letterhead: Project title; investigator(s’) name(s), title(s), phone and fax numbers, E-mail, and street addresses. In addition contact information for a sponsored research officer must be included.

Scientific abstract – 300 word limit. Briefly summarize the aims, significance and methods for the proposed project.

Lay abstract – 300 word limit. Briefly summarize the aims and significance of the project in terms that can be understood by an educated but non-scientific audience.
Pages 2-3:

Section I: A clearly and succinctly stated hypothesis.

Section II: Budget justification (required). Briefly outline how the requested funds will be used during the funding period. Please note that we will not provide direct salary support or indirect costs.
Additional Optional Pages:

Appendix A: References – up to 2 pages.

Appendix B: Active grants and pending proposals by the applicant(s). Include an abstract, specifying the aims, for any existing or pending grants between these sources of support and the proposed Dana project.

Appendix C: Please provide a standard NIH four-page format CV for the primary investigator(s).
